public realm
The design of the public realm is a key component in designing for regeneration and major developments. Our work engenders quality, 'ownership' and respect. It can take many forms depending on whether public or private, rural or urban.
award winning
Rummey Design has won many awards for its public realm design, including a shortlisting for the Stirling Prize.
added value
We think carefully about the public realm and how 'value' can be created through it. This work forms a significant part of our portfolio and includes major 'set piece' schemes in the UK. It is also an integral part of school, residential and resort environments.
It is crucial to consider maintenance of the public realm, and the level of appropriate resource. Our work in controlling maintenance was rewarded with a BALI award at Turkey Mill, Kent.
We have decades of direct experience in creating and managing the maintenance of over 150 hectares of high quality, soft landscapes related to Science and Business Parks.
